        <![CDATA[No, my opponent won the election - but that does not mean that I lost.&nbsp; I learned a lot - about campaigning, about the issues, and the people in this district that talked with me about what was important to them and what they wanted to see in their government.&nbsp; And what they wanted to see in their Senator.<br /><br />I thank you for your vote and I thank you for your confidence in me.&nbsp; Unfortunately, I didn't get to talk to everyone that I needed to, as I didn't quite win enough of your hearts and minds to have earned your votes.&nbsp; This is a lesson that I have learned well.<br /><br />The next election is in two years - a long time; much can happen and decisions will be made.&nbsp; In the meantime, I'll be blogging back over at the Blogging Councilor - join me!<br /><br />And stay tuned...<br /> ]]>
