No, my opponent won the election - but that does not mean that I lost. I learned a lot - about campaigning, about the issues, and the people in this district that talked with me about what was important to them and what they wanted to see in their government. And what they wanted to see in their Senator.
I thank you for your vote and I thank you for your confidence in me. Unfortunately, I didn't get to talk to everyone that I needed to, as I didn't quite win enough of your hearts and minds to have earned your votes. This is a lesson that I have learned well.
The next election is in two years - a long time; much can happen and decisions will be made. In the meantime, I'll be blogging back over at the Blogging Councilor - join me!
And stay tuned...
